Healing homlessness with Christ's power and love is the heart and soul of the Lighthouse Mission. For over 100 years, we have helped men, women and children find the resources they need to leave homelessness behind and begin a new journey toward recovery or finding stable employment and housing. I edited this video for the Lighthouse Mission.

The seeds for The Franklin Academy were first sewn in 1973, and today it has grown into two beautiful campuses and is the only STEM certified school in Whatcom County. I edited this video to help them celebrate their 50-year anniversary. 

The Foundation for WWU & Alumni distributes Alumni Awards each year. This is an example of one of the five videos I edited in 2024 for The WWU Foundation.

Mail ballots submitted by voters who meet eligibility and validity requirements are counted in every election. Before they are counted, election officials vigorously verify the validity of every mail ballot submission. I edited this video that allows voters to learn about the steps Whatcom County Elections has in place to process ballots.

This 15-sec campaign video highlighted endorsements for the 2023 Bellingham mayoral primary candidate Kim Lund. I was involved on the day of production as a PA and was the video editor for this quick turn-around campaign video. 

This video was created to promote the Barron KARES  program at Barron Heating. Each month, Barron shines a spotlight on a different charity or non-profit organization within the community. Barron KARES provides a charitable donation of $110 on select purchases, such as tankless water heaters, heat pumps, solar installations, generators, and more.

Under the leadership of Mayor Scott Korthuis and other Lynden leaders, the COW water project partnership turns wastewater from the Dairgold plant into a water rights credit for the city of Lynden. I edited this short video for Whatcom Family Farmers' REAL Environmental Action & Leadership.

Skookum Kids licenses foster parents, places kids in loving homes, cares for kids at their emergency shelters across Northwest and Central Washington, and supports families rebuilding after time apart. I edited this direct-to-camera version of the speech that was delivered at their annual giving event.

This is the course overview video for a 7-hour video series I directed, filmed, and edited featuring Mark McElmurry. I was also responsible for the creation of all graphics and on-screen text elements. In the course, McElmurry encourages viewers to dig into their past to uncover personal shame, resolve it, and move beyond it.

For this four-course training series for the company's flagship software product, our team was asked to create a narrative-based set of training videos. I did all of the video editing, screencasts, motion graphics, color grading, audio editing, and on-screen elements. I was also involved in the writing, talent selection, directing, and camera operation, as well as the final review and distribution processes.

When one of our scholars in residence, Dr. Michael S. Heiser, announced that he wanted to produce a video series to go along with his upcoming book The World Turned Upside Down: Finding the Gospel in Stranger Things, I jumped at the opportunity to create a set modeled after a scene from the popular television series. Along with all set and prop design, I worked on video editing, titles, music, b-roll filming, and directing.

This 6-hour course was filmed at the Marion E. Wade Center at Wheaton College,  and it explores the writings that influenced C.S. Lewis. The course includes b-roll of some of the books owned by Lewis, including the notes and comments that he wrote in them. I was responsible for all post-production including on-screen text, motion graphics, b-roll composition, and final export and transcoding.

This is the overview video for a 10-hour language course that teaches Hebrew. The instructor, Dr. Mark Futato, utilized an iPad to show the Hebrew language and parsing. Using his iPad screen recordings as a reference, I recreated the graphics in Apple Motion 5 to create a cleaner look. I also added on-screen text, motion graphics, and camera cuts. 

This is a sampling of some of the work I was involved in prior to my career in video production. Most of this content was created while I was a student and during volunteer positions following graduation.
